About Mishka Project
Empowering refugees by engaging communities can help to provide security for them fleeing conflict and persecution in their home countries. In addition, it is also one of the most effective ways to support them to restart a new life, both after returning to the destination country.
Mishka Project is a non-profit project established in 2021 that focuses on refugee women in Indonesia. Having a mission as a forum for actualization for female refugees that encourages them to be empowered during the wait in Indonesia. Powered by Makaila Haifa, a modest fashion brand, this project is a social empowerment, supported by UNHCR Indonesia and IOM (International Organization Of Migration) well.

This time, INIFD Indonesia worked with Makaila Haifa's Mishka Project to electrify women.The fashion brand Makaila Haifa started the Mishka Project, a platform for empowering refugee women in Indonesia.In cooperation with the teaching team of INIFD Indonesia, Mishka Project held a number of fashion-related trainings. like fabric painting and fashion drawing for a few months. The goal of this program is to equip female refugees with INIFD Indonesia-certified skills that they may utilise once they arrive in their new country.the outcomes of the abilities they acquired, used, and showcased in this fashion show. featured in five all-white ensembles created by students at INIFD Indonesia, infused with a few cloth paintings of Women refugees.INIFD
